Full-Time Undergraduate Transfer Student Enrollment

1. When the report says “include all full-time, degree-credit undergraduate students who transferred into your institution for the Fall term from a degree-granting institution,” does this mean only report those students who transferred immediately from another institution for the fall term, or does this also include students who attended another institution, then were not enrolled anywhere for a period of time, and then finally enrolled at my institution? Does time between enrollments matter?

A: Include them as a transfer if they are entering with any previous postsecondary experience. The time between enrollments does not matter.

2. If a student previously attended multiple degree granting institutions, which institution do I base the transfer on?

A: Base it on the last (most recent) institution they attended.

3. My institution has several students new to the college this fall who earned LPN licenses through certificate programs at their most recent institution attended. They have, however, attended a 2- or 4-year college throughout their educational history. Therefore, they aren’t first-time students, but they’re coming to my institution from a non-degree granting nursing program. Should these students be omitted from this report?

A: If these students are transferring credits from their 2- or 4- year institution they attended prior to the nursing certificate they earned, they can be counted as a transfer. Do not count as a transfer those students who only have come from a non-degree-granting nursing program.

4. Which students are reported on the Full-Time Undergraduate Transfer Enrollment form?

A: Report undergraduate students who are transferring into your institution.

5. Do I report students as transfers who were non-matriculated and previously enrolled?

A: Do not report non-matriculated students.
